Be on good terms with conditions of business contracts
More and more businesses are feeling the effects of the economic downturn and the number of them losing the battle to keep their heads above water is on the rise.
The last quarter of 2009 saw a 25 per cent increase in the number of Scottish businesses failing to stay afloat, and this is being touted as the calm before the storm.
Even companies that are household names are going into administration, and it is clear that any business entering into a contract with another business for the supply of goods is taking a risk that they might not get paid for those goods.
Is there anything businesses can do so they are protected should they be supplying goods to a sinking ship?...
