now that conflicts of interest can be seen as above board...
This year, the airwaves and print media have, at times, been dominated by what the public have deemed conflicts of interest.
Between Fred Goodwin's huge pension payout, perceived by many as an unjust reward for inadequate performance, and the MPs' expenses scandal, confidence in those in charge acting in the best interests of those they serve is at an all-time low.
Yet, in apparent opposition to this perception, the law relating to authorising company directors' conflicts of interest have changed...
