We understand that any business involved in the sale of alcohol needs to obtain and maintain a premises licence for each of its properties, maintain a premises manager and have a significant number of employees equipped with a personal licence. The law, rules and regulations surrounding these licences, the grant, transfer and revocation of them are detailed and complex. We aim to deal with all of these technical issues leaving our clients to concentrate on running their businesses.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the detailed rules surrounding operating plans, licensing board meetings, appeals to the sheriff and applications to have premises licences revoked or amended. In addition, we have detailed experience in the practicalities of how licensing boards operate and will view certain applications and the issues faced by the licensed trade by in relation to both the police and licensing standards officers.
